Okay, I said this previously on a Facebook posting... but you gotta LOVE a mom who is cool enough to center an entire family session around the one thing her son is totally into ~ tractors!!!  But not just any old tractor.  It had to be a big JOHN DEERE TRACTOR!!!

I think I laughed throughout the entire session, and I am not exaggerating.  Between tractor rides, a small audience intent on making these guys laugh and one in particular who thought he had the best ideas for pictures ~ well trust me, you just had to be there.

I love extended family sessions... and I've been doing more and more of them ~ which could not make me happier!  Love having all these personalities and faces.  The bigger the family, the more love to go around, more smiles looking at me, more laughter in the air.  Need I say more?  And the Hill Family, well I pretty much adore these guys.  I feel quite privileged to be chosen to capture moments of their lives, and am truly grateful for having met these folks.  And not just because they hire me, but because these guys are gracious and caring... and genuine.  There are some people that you become friends with moments after you meet, and I am glad to say that they are my friends.  Thank you Hill Family... you guys are beautiful ~ inside and out.

In the days leading up to their session it was cold... Mom had great cool weathered attire picked out for everyone (that's SIX people!!!) and wouldn't you know it was HOT the day of their session?  Gotta love Texas weather.  But these guys were troopers, and they looked fabulous even though we were all hotter than heck.  I know you've heard me say it, but laugh and laughter always comes thru in pictures. And the Herron Family is not short on either.  Loved seeing you guys again!

I can not believe that Adaleigh is about to be the big ONE!!!  It seems like it was just yesterday I was taking her newborn pics... where has the time gone?  I love her chubby cheeks and how when she smiles her whole face smiles.  And I am still laughing at the way she practically circled her cake trying to decide which was her best approach ~ she finally just stuck her face right in it (that's my kinda gal!)

What better way to celebrate a birthday when you are a little girl than with a tea party?  And take a look at her playhouse in the background!  I wanna live there!!!  I loved meeting this birthday girl ~ Mattie is beautiful, yes, but she was silly and funny and all things a FIVE year old girl should be.  Happy birthday sweet Mattie, I hope all your birthdays will be this much fun!

We recently traveled to the beautiful state of West Virginia to visit some dear friends.  One of the coolest things we did was visit a pumpkin farm / apple orchard.  Nothing like we have here ~ I'm talking acres of pumpkins growing on the vine that you literally walk and cut off and take home!!!

There was face painting, hayrides,  a corn maze, and an apple shooter.  (Think potato gun - but on a much larger scale that shoots apples.)  We all had a go at it... and guess who was the only one out of the 8 of us to hit the farthest target ~ you got it, little ole' ME!.  My reward ~ I got to shoot the great BIG PUNKIN' CHUNKER!!!  Oh yeah, I was the coolest Mom EVER that day, lol!

And of course we did the corn maze ~ we had a race to see who could get out the quickest {45 minutes.}  We picked our pumpkins and rode the hayride.  And the kids hit us up for the face painting the second we got there...  We ate caramel popcorn, a bushel of the apples picked from their orchard, and had the time of our lives just hanging with our friends and enjoying the happiness of our kids.  And held true to our promise to carve the pumpkins that night - regardless of how late it was, and the fact that we all had to get up early the next day.  

This will be a Halloween I will never forget.  I am pretty sure my kids won't either...
Life goes by way too fast.  I try to live in the moment as much as possible, which is not easy some days.  I wish you and your family the safest & happiest Halloween ever.  Love on those little ghosts & goblins of yours ~ before you know it they will be grown up.

I met these guys when their oldest was brand new... they truly are a beautiful family.  I've said it many times, but one of the things I love most about this job is that I get to watch families grow, and kids grow.  What a blessing!!!

Another gorgeous family... LOVE all these Fall family sessions!  I've been fortunate to get to photograph the Thompson kiddos several times this year, and was pretty excited to get a chance to take pictures of everyone this Fall.  And like I said, these guys are gorgeous!

I love my repeat clients, and love getting to see their families grow.  Last year when I photographed this sweet family there were only 3 faces ~ and this year there are FOUR!!!  The Edwards are such a beautiful family both inside and out.

Chelsea is a Senior at Weatherford High School this year.  And yes, she is stunning!
I have been friends with her mom since we were in middle school... and I can not believe that her baby is a Senior.  I loved spending time with the two of them and getting to know Chelsea a little bit.  This girl seems to have it together... brains and beauty ~ perfect combination!

Tristen is a Senior this year at Aledo high school.  She was/is almost as shy as she is pretty ~ and she is VERY pretty :)  This is round #1 for her Senior session.  Tristen is also on the track team, so I will be meeting up with her to take some shots of her with her track gear early next year.  Tristen (and mom Kasi) it was so nice to meet you girls, thank you for sharing in this special time in your lives!

What a beautiful family the Colliers are!  I love the Fall season when pretty much every session I do is a Family session.  I love meeting new clients and getting to know them.  And these guys are no exception.  The kids are so stinkin' cute (mom & dad are pretty good lookin' themselves!)  And we even had a little bit to sit and chat while we watched the kids play at the park after their session.  Thank you Collier Family ~ I hope to see you again soon!

Ok ~ so when I have my own family pictures done I am just hoping and praying to have just ONE good one in the whole batch of pictures.  But these guys ~ I think every single picture was great.  I had a hard time narrowing down which ones to edit {it's a wonderful issue to have I must admit!}

There is nothing sweeter than a days old baby... I just love newborn sessions.  Get to hold such sweetness ~ it almost makes me wish for another little one.  Owen is nothing short of precious.  He had the chubbiest little cheeks and he did amazing for his first ever photo shoot.  Congratulations Blank Family!!!
