mine...

Parenthood is bittersweet... it is so wonderful to watch your kids grow, to learn and achieve successes.  To branch out on their own and really discover who they are and what they want.  But with each new day, they are one day closer to becoming independent, moving away from us and into their own lives.

I have been truly blessed with three beautiful girls.  And I can say honestly that they more beautiful inside than they are on the outside.  They are kind, respectful, intelligent, compassionate... They are my greatest accomplishment.  And they could not be more adored ~ my husband and I love them beyond measure.  The thing I love most about my girls... I am guaranteed many laughs each and every day, lots of hugs and kisses, and more love than I ever thought possible.  These three (along with their Daddy) are the loves of my life.

Okay ~ this is the little sister to the cowboy in the previous post.  She is ADORABLE!  She has the biggest smile (mouth wide open) that I have ever seen.  LOVE IT!  She was teeny tiny when I first photographed her... and she still is little, but she has personality to spare.  She was so great throughout her entire session, she smiled and smiled and smiled... what more could you ask for... I mean I almost forgot I was working!

This little buckaroo is about as cute as they get.  I think that my favorite thing about Mason is that when he laughs ~ that good hard belly laugh ~ even his eyes seem to be laughing.  He is a sweet boy, and fun-loving.  Possibly a little mischievous (he is my youngest daughter's buddy, so he has to be!)

I love it when we can incorporate personal items into a session.  He is wearing chaps and a vest that were his Daddy's when he was a youngster!  How cool is that?  Mason you are one cool cowboy!

the davis family | weatherford, tx photographer

Okay, I have to admit that I am totally bias regarding this family.  I love these four;  Rivers is a dear friend of mine.  Having said that... are these guys not beautiful?!?  I love the picture of Rivers and her daughter, such a sweet moment.  I am grateful to have you guys in my life, in my own family's lives.

I have known this little guy for his entire life... granted he just turned "1" ~ but, that is beside the point!
I met his family when they were awaiting his arrival, and have since gotten to photograph them several times.  And trust me,  they are ALL gorgeous!  Sullivan is a happy little guy, and has the best grin ever.   Happy Birthday Sully, I feel blessed to be a part of your first year.

I get attached to pretty much every family I photograph... it is really hard not to.  I'm a mom, a wife, a daughter, a sister ~ all the things I photograph, so I feel connected to the families.  Well, Nicole and her mom are no exception.  When we first met (via messages) we set up a session date for me to take pictures of their family.  It seemed fate was against us in some form or fashion ~ we had to reschedule the session several times first because my own daughter was in the hospital, and then this beautiful girl had to spend some time at Cooks as well.  We had never met in person... but we prayed for the health of one another's child.  So Nicole has a special little place in my heart; she is the sweetest little girl and I feel blessed to be chosen to capture these memories.  Her mom and dad are pretty wonderful too ~ and our relationship just goes to prove that prayer is a beautiful, wonderful gift that anyone can give... and it doesn't cost a thing :)

I can not believe how fast time flies by... I met these cuties' mom, dad and brother when she was pregnant with them and I did their maternity pictures.  Fast forward a little more than a year and look at them now!  I have had the pleasure of photographing them several times in their first year of life, and look forward to doing more of the same in the years to come.  I love this job ~ I have met so many wonderful families over the years because of it.  The Keen Family is one of my favorites :)
